With a combined 20+ years of cannabis industry experience and a desire to help patients grow at home, Brianne Brown, Matt Brown, and Mike Carman launched SproutHouse, a hydroponics and indoor garden supply store in Independence, Missouri, in 2019.

Brianne and Matt met in the legal Colorado cannabis industry in 2010 while working on a mutual project. The two reconnected in 2013 and began dating soon thereafter. They married July 13, 2019 in Cozumel, Mexico. With a bit of good luck, Brianne and Matt met Mike in 2018 while looking for a rental house in Lawrence.

Since first meeting, Brianne, Matt, and Mike have become both friends and colleagues who have embarked on multiple startup projects together. The future looks bright…or is that just the glare from a Kind LED?
